First Yoga. June 30, 2011.

Yesterday I took my first yoga class ever.

It was great! I am not the most flexible guy and my left knee is perpetually swollen like an over-sized melon, so I was not expecting too much success with yoga. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to do. Now my poses didn’t look very much like the ones our instructor, Brandy, was demonstrating, but she was supportive, calm and gave us plenty of modifications for each pose. At the end of the hour I was relaxed, rejuvenated and my left knee felt better then it did at the beginning of the class. I actually worked up a good sweat and felt challenged throughout the session. I am hooked and looking forward to the class next Wednesday.
